ROOT WORD: The part of the word that carries the meaning.

Below is the list of root words that we will use as a basis of our vocabulary study throughout the entirety of the school year. It is said that the understanding of one root word can help us to understand hundreds of other words. As we read various pieces of literature, all of our vocabulary will be selected by YOU based upon words that contain the roots below.
